About

Hi, my name is Rachel M. Cohen and I’m a journalist based in Washington D.C. I work as a senior reporter at Vox.com and have written for many local and national publications before that, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Intercept, The Atlantic, and Washington City Paper.

A list of my favorite pieces can be found here.

I keep a record of all my published articles here because, unfortunately, sometimes news organizations shut down leaving no digital archive for previously published work.

You can follow me on Threads/Twitter at @rmc031, or contact me by email at rachel.cohen@voxmedia.com

  1. Your recent Prospect article, Blind Future, compelled me to subscribe to both editions of the magazine. I’m also pleased to learn you write for The Washington Monthly, to which I subscribed just last month. Work like yours has forced me to stop my free-riding and actually support the journalistic excellence you represent – thank you.
